Description

Designed specifically for laser particle size analyzers and DLS instruments, the C104CE29 quartz cuvette provides a 10 mm optical path with 3.5 ml capacity and Four-Way Light windows for multi-angle scattering measurements. Built with Molded 83 fabrication (>83% transmittance, 190–2500 nm), this sample cell is compatible with instruments including the Malvern Zetasizer, Brookhaven NanoBrook, and similar particle analyzers. The PTFE cap ensures sample integrity. Supplied as 1pc/ea.

Why Four-Way Light?

Unlike standard two-way cuvettes, the C104CE29 features four optically polished faces, enabling scattered-light collection from multiple angles. This is critical for DLS and particle sizing, where detectors are positioned at 90° or 173° (backscatter) relative to the incident laser beam. The four-window design ensures minimal refraction artifacts and maximum signal-to-noise ratio across all detection geometries.

Why Molded 83?

The Molded 83 fabrication method (learn more) produces cuvettes with >83% transmittance across 190–2500 nm, offering the highest optical quality in this product line. This makes the C104CE29 especially suited for measurements requiring deep-UV excitation or demanding low-scatter applications where background noise must be minimized.

Usage Tips: Rinse the cuvette with filtered solvent before each measurement to remove dust particles. Avoid touching the optical faces — handle by the top rim. For DLS, ensure the sample is free of air bubbles and large aggregates. Store in a dust-free environment between uses. Clean with spectroscopic-grade solvents only.
