Fused Quartz Plates
MachinedQuartz fused quartz plates are precision-machined from high-purity JGS1 and JGS2 fused silica, offering exceptional optical transmission from 185nm (deep UV) through 2500nm (near infrared). Used in semiconductor fabrication, laser optics, spectroscopy, and high-temperature research.
Optical Performance
UV-grade fused quartz plates transmit over 85% at 200nm, making them ideal for UV lithography, UV sterilization systems, and deep-UV spectroscopy. Our standard polish achieves surface flatness of λ/4 or better, with roughness Ra < 1nm on request.
Standard and Custom Dimensions
Stock sizes range from 10×10mm to 150×150mm, with thickness from 0.5mm to 20mm. All plates are available with single or double-side polishing. Custom shapes—circles, triangles, wedges, and trapezoids—are available with no minimum order quantity.
Material Grades
JGS1 (synthetic fused silica) offers the highest UV transmission and lowest OH content, ideal for deep-UV applications below 250nm. JGS2 (natural quartz) provides excellent transmission from 260nm–2500nm at a more economical price point. Both grades are available in all standard dimensions.
Applications
Semiconductor photomasks, laser beam homogenizers, UV spectrophotometer windows, microscope slides for UV imaging, substrate wafers for thin-film deposition, and high-temperature furnace viewports.
