Fused Quartz Labware
MachinedQuartz fused quartz labware is manufactured from high-purity transparent quartz glass, combining the chemical resistance of quartz with the practical form factors needed in analytical chemistry, materials research, and high-temperature laboratory work.
Material Properties
Our labware is made from JGS1 or JGS2 fused quartz with SiO₂ purity >99.99%. Working temperature up to 1100°C continuously, with short-term resistance to 1300°C. Resistant to all common acids (except HF), alkalis at moderate temperatures, and organic solvents.
Product Range
Our fused quartz labware range includes beakers (5ml–2000ml), crucibles (1ml–500ml), combustion boats (single and double handle), evaporating dishes, distilling flasks, reagent bottles, test tubes, petri dishes, mortar and pestle sets, and custom components. All items are available in standard and custom sizes.
Advantages Over Borosilicate Glass
Fused quartz withstands temperatures up to 1100°C versus 500°C for borosilicate glass. Its near-zero thermal expansion coefficient (0.55×10⁻⁶/°C) means it can be moved from a 1000°C furnace to room temperature without cracking. UV transparency allows photochemical reactions not possible in borosilicate vessels.
