Sending all nine together gets you a quote in under 24 hours. Missing pieces means a back-and-forth — and that’s how a one-day quote becomes a one-week one.

0.1 mm – 100 mm. Sub-mm and long-path are routine; tell us the absorbance window you’re working in.

Macro, semi-micro, micro, sub-micro, or capillary. The volume drives geometry.

JGS1 (deep UV through visible, our default) · JGS3 (IR to 3.5 µm) · sapphire · CaF₂. See material guide.

PTFE screw cap, ground-glass stopper, septum cap, or open-top. The closure choice changes the cell’s mouth geometry and grinding steps.

MachinedQuartz fabricates two quartz grades, not three. JGS1 covers the full UV-Vis range plus deep UV in one cell — so we skip JGS2. The material selection guide explains the logic in depth.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
For custom-fabricated cuvettes, MOQ is 2–4 pieces depending on geometry — small enough to prototype or evaluate a single design. Standard catalog SKUs ship in any quantity from 1 piece. We do not require 50-piece or 100-piece commitments common with other custom fabricators.
How long does shipping take?
Stock catalog SKUs ship from the Hong Kong warehouse in 5–8 business days via FedEx Priority. Custom cuvettes have a 1–4 week production lead time depending on fabrication method (Standard 80 glued: 1–2 weeks; Sintered 80/83: 2–3 weeks; Molded 83 high-temperature sealed: 3–4 weeks), then ship the same day fabrication completes.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. FedEx Priority worldwide, with packaging tested for fragile optical components. We have customers in 40+ countries including the US, EU, Japan, Korea, India, and Australia. Duty-free delivery to the USA on most orders (we cover the import paperwork).
Do you offer samples?
For evaluating a custom design before a full production run, yes — a single prototype shipped at our standard 2–4 pcs MOQ price often serves the purpose. For free samples of stock catalog items, contact sales directly to discuss your evaluation needs; we accommodate genuine evaluation cases for OEM customers.
Can you handle OEM and bulk orders?
Yes — OEM and bulk is a core line. Branded packaging, controlled-lot material consistency, recurring scheduled orders, and dedicated technical contact are all standard for repeat customers. See our US manufacturer guide for OEM-specific details, then email sales with your annual volume target.
What’s your quality guarantee?
Path length tolerance varies by fabrication method: Molded 83 cells ±0.01 mm, Sintered 80/83 ±0.02 mm, Standard 80 bonded ±0.05 mm. Window flatness λ/4. Volume accuracy ±2%. Matched cuvette pairs guaranteed to within 0.005 A baseline at 280 nm. If a cell fails inspection on arrival, return it within 14 days for a replacement or refund — and we want the feedback so the production issue gets traced and fixed.
Why does MachinedQuartz only stock JGS1 and JGS3 quartz?
JGS1’s 185 nm UV cutoff fully covers JGS2’s 220 nm range, plus the deep-UV region JGS2 cannot reach. At our manufacturing scale, shipping one premium grade beats running two product lines — and the customer wins twice (one cell covers two markets, no risk of grabbing the wrong grade). JGS3 is kept for IR work where the dry-fused, low-OH process is essential. See our material selection guide for the full reasoning.
