Using this cell

Fill the sample through the threaded opening, then fit the cap before moving the cuvette into the instrument. Keep the optical faces clean and free from droplets, fingerprints and bubbles in the beam area.

For consistent repeat work, keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs. The 3.5 mL value is the nominal cell capacity, not a minimum working volume, so the actual fill level should match your method and beam position.

Inspect the optical faces and cap for dust, residue or visible handling damage.
Rinse with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method and the complete assembled cell.
Run a blank and check that the illuminated sample region is fully covered and bubble-free.
