C0.24TS is a JGS1 quartz screw-top cuvette for UV/Vis measurements that call for a very short 0.2 mm optical path. Its Four-Way Light geometry keeps optical access available on all four sides, while the threaded neck and included PTFE closure let you fill the cell from the top and cover the sample for bench handling or in-instrument use. The nominal capacity is 70 µL, making this a compact choice for short-path liquid measurements in a covered quartz cell.

Choose this option

Choose C0.24TS when your method specifically needs a 0.2 mm path and you prefer a screw-top format over an open-top cell. The combination of Four-Way Light access and a covered sample chamber is useful where you need side access around the cell body but still want the sample loaded through a single threaded opening. Its slim rectangular body section also helps when space around the holder is limited.

Using this cell

Fill the cuvette through the threaded opening and fit the PTFE closure after loading if your procedure calls for the sample to remain covered. Keep the optical faces clean and check that the liquid fully covers the measurement zone used in your setup.

Because this is a very short-path cell, bubbles, droplets and residue in the beam area can affect the reading. For blank and sample runs, keep the same orientation and handle the cuvette by the non-optical surfaces where possible.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and threaded neck for dust, chips or handling marks.
Rinse with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method and the complete assembly.
Fill with blank solution first and confirm that the beam passes through the intended faces without bubbles.
Fit the closure gently and check that it seats correctly before running the sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The rectangular body section is 12.5 × 2.7 mm and 38 mm high. Overall height is 54 mm without the closure and 58 mm with the closure fitted, which helps you check vertical clearance above the holder and space around the neck.

Z Height is not established for this SKU, so holder fit should not be judged from overall size alone. The 70 µL figure is a nominal cell capacity, not a minimum working volume.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Molded 83 fabrication in JGS1 quartz. This construction is commonly selected for quartz-cell work involving organic solvents and other laboratory liquid methods, but the exact suitability still depends on the specific liquid, concentration, temperature, exposure time and the full wetted assembly, including the closure.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue or another non-scratching laboratory wipe.
