Glass colorimetric cuvette with a 10 mm optical path, open-top chamber and 14.5 mL nominal capacity. This Two-Way Light cell uses a 50 × 14 × 50 mm body for visible-range colorimetric work within the stated 350–2000 nm range. Sold as 1 piece per listed price unit.
Description
C102CS102 is a glass colorimetric cuvette with a 10 mm optical path, an open-top chamber and a 14.5 mL nominal capacity. It suits visible-range colorimetric work where you want direct top filling and a straightforward rectangular body for holder checks. The 50 × 14 × 50 mm format is also important if your setup depends on a specific body footprint rather than a smaller standard cell shape.

Choose this option
Choose this cuvette when your method uses a standard 10 mm transmission path and stays within the stated 350–2000 nm range. The open top makes routine filling, rinsing and visual inspection simple, which is useful for bench workflows without side fittings or special closures. Its 50 × 14 × 50 mm body is a practical choice when your holder or fixture is built around that larger rectangular format.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path for standard straight-through colorimetric measurements.
- Glass body with a stated 350–2000 nm range for visible-range work.
- Open-top chamber for direct filling and rinsing from above.
- 50 × 14 × 50 mm body for checking holder clearance, insertion space and top access.
Using this cell
Fill the chamber from the top and keep the liquid level above the beam during measurement. Remove bubbles before reading, and use the same orientation for blank and sample if your procedure depends on comparative readings.
Handle the cuvette by non-optical areas where possible to reduce fingerprints on the transmission faces. After rinsing, dry the outer optical surfaces before placing the cell in the holder.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces and chamber for chips, scratches or residue.
- Run a blank to confirm holder fit and beam alignment before sample measurements.
- Confirm that your working fill level covers the beam in your own setup.
Fit and optical alignment
The stated external dimensions are 50 × 14 × 50 mm, with a 50 × 14 mm base. Check the holder slot, seating area, insertion depth and top clearance against those dimensions before ordering.
Z Height needs to be confirmed for this option, so beam-height-sensitive instrument fit should be checked against your current cell or holder drawing rather than assumed from overall height alone. The 14.5 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.
Solvents and cleaning
This adhesive-bonded glass cuvette is listed as Standard 80. A chemical-compatibility range is not established for this option, so discuss your sample and cleaning liquid, concentration, temperature and contact time before using organic solvents, aggressive reagents or heated cleaning.
Keep hydrofluoric acid away from glass. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaners, and clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue or another non-scratching laboratory wipe.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. If you need a supplied closure or other accessory, contact us before ordering.
