Description

MQQCM002 is a JGS1 quartz colorimetric cuvette with a 10 mm optical path, an open top and a 13 mL nominal capacity. It suits routine straight-through UV/Vis and colorimetric work when you want direct filling from above and a simple rectangular body without side fittings. The body-only dimensions of 31 × 14 × 62 mm also give you a clear basis for checking holder space and top access before ordering.

Choose this option

Choose MQQCM002 when your method uses a standard 10 mm transmission path and you prefer an open sample chamber for filling, rinsing and visual checking. The 13 mL nominal capacity makes it suitable for methods that use a full-height sample chamber rather than a micro-volume format. The stated 200–2500 nm range applies to this JGS1 quartz option. Select this Standard 80 bonded version for routine aqueous work at room temperature.

What makes this option different

  • 10 mm optical path for standard straight-through transmission measurements.
  • Open-top chamber for direct pipetting, pouring and rinsing from above.
  • JGS1 quartz body with a stated 200–2500 nm range for UV/Vis and colorimetry.
  • 31 × 14 × 62 mm body-only size for checking holder clearance separately from any closure or accessory.

Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top and keep the sample level high enough to cover the beam during measurement. Remove bubbles before reading, and keep the same orientation for blank and sample if your method depends on comparative readings.

Handle the cell by non-optical surfaces where possible. After rinsing, make sure the outer optical faces are clean and dry before placing the cell in the holder.

First-use check

  1. Inspect the optical faces and chamber for chips, residue or transit damage.
  2. Run a suitable blank to check holder fit and beam alignment before sample measurements.
  3. Confirm that your normal fill level covers the beam in your own setup.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated external dimensions apply to the body only: 31 × 14 × 62 mm. Check your holder slot, insertion space and top clearance against that body size before ordering.

Z Height needs to be confirmed for this option, so beam-height-sensitive instrument fit should be checked against your holder drawing or an existing cell reference. The 13 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.

Solvents and cleaning

This cell uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. It is a practical choice for routine room-temperature aqueous samples and buffers. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents on this bonded assembly.

If your method uses organic solvents or heated treatment, ask about a more suitable Sintered or Molded alternative before ordering. Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and clean the optical faces gently with a non-abrasive water-based approach.

Included with this option

1 Quartz Colorimetric Cuvette.
