Using this cell

Fill through the threaded top opening, then seat the closure before measurement. Keep the cell orientation consistent between blank and sample, especially if your optical arrangement uses specific side faces for excitation or collection.

The stated 500 µL is the nominal chamber capacity, not a minimum working volume. Fill high enough to cover the illuminated region in your setup, and remove bubbles before taking readings.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and threaded opening for chips, dust or handling marks.
Test the cuvette in the intended holder with a blank to confirm seating and cap clearance.
After filling, remove bubbles and wipe the outside faces before the first reading.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is used on MQ for quartz cuvettes commonly selected for organic-solvent methods and applications that may involve elevated temperature. Suitability still depends on the complete assembled cell, including the closure and your actual sample and cleaning conditions.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods. Clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue and use a cleaning routine that is suitable for the full assembly.
