Using this cell

Fill the cell through the top opening and fit the cap gently onto clean threads before measurement. Use enough liquid to cover the beam path used by your instrument, and remove bubbles from the optical region before taking readings.

For repeatable blank and sample work, keep the same orientation each time and handle the cuvette by the non-optical surfaces where possible. The stated 3.5 mL is nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.

Inspect the optical faces, base and threaded opening for chips, dust or visible residue.
Rinse with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method and the full assembled cell.
Test fit the cuvette in your holder and confirm that the fitted cap clears the space above it.
Run a blank before sample measurements.
