600 µL Quartz Microflow Cell: Aligning the Window, Tubes and Base
CUSTOM DESIGN GUIDE · MQQCU021
MQQCU021 combines a 10 mm sample path with a nominal 600 µL chamber, two upper connections and a bottom bore. The reduced sample region makes optical positioning important. The lower interface and the tubing above it give this cell a more specific installation layout than a plain square cuvette.

A smaller sample region still needs the beam in the right place
The reference identifies a 3.5 × 17.5 mm optical window and a stated 20 mm Z-height. These describe the measurement region within the 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm outside body. The body can fit a holder while the beam crosses only part of the intended sample region.
A useful installation drawing starts from the surface supporting the cell and locates the beam from that datum. Beam width and height belong beside the window dimensions. This is the practical distinction between choosing a compact chamber and simply choosing a small outside footprint.
MQQCU021 configuration
Connected sampling changes the liquid-handling routine
The upper fittings let tubing become part of the proposed sample route. For repeated delivery or exchange, that route includes the supply line, chamber and outlet, as well as the liquid used to fill and flush them. The 600 µL nominal capacity describes the cell, not the total amount consumed by one exchange.
Both upper fittings need room to be fitted and removed. Keeping their weight and movement off the optical body is an assembly task, so nearby tube supports and routing deserve a place in the layout.
The bottom bore is its own interface
The reference also identifies a 5.3 mm bore in the lower region. It should be represented separately from the two upper connections. Its presence alone does not turn it into a third fluid port.
For a custom instrument, the lower feature may be the part that determines how the cell sits in the fixture. Defining that contact together with the optical datum keeps the window, bottom interface and upper connections in one coherent arrangement.
A custom example: retain the optics and adapt the lower interface
ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN EXAMPLE
Suppose the window and 10 mm path suit the measurement, but an existing fixture uses a different lower locating feature. The proposal can retain the sample region and upper access while defining the new lower interface from the fixture drawing. That is a more precise brief than requesting the same cell with a different base.

For MQQCU021, send the beam position and size, the lower fixture section and the available space around the top connections. Mark the features to retain, and include sample conditions, the filling and flushing route, quantity, destination and requested date.
