Rectangular Quartz Capillary: A Flat Channel with a Defined Orientation
CUSTOM DESIGN GUIDE · MQC469
MQC469 has a rectangular outside and a rectangular inner passage. The listed 1.1 × 0.5 mm body surrounds a 0.8 × 0.3 mm channel over a 25 mm length. Its broad and narrow directions make orientation part of any proposed viewing or connection arrangement.

A flat passage is different from a smaller round tube
A round bore has no long or short axis in its end view. A rectangular passage does. In a proposed observation layout, those directions can distinguish the sample width from its depth along a chosen viewing route. The section is therefore useful when channel shape matters, not just channel size.
The outside rectangle provides corresponding faces for the holder. The end drawing should show which inner face points toward the instrument or mating component. Turning the tube changes that relationship even though all four listed dimensions remain the same.
MQC469 configuration
Choose the supporting face around the working region
Resting the capillary on its broad side gives a different installed outline from resting it on its narrow side. The fixture needs to use the orientation intended by the method, while leaving the required length exposed.
This can matter in a proposed imaging setup: a holder may grip the part well yet obscure the face selected for observation. Showing the support and field of view beside the cross-section explains where contact is helpful and where it obstructs the task.
Keep that orientation through the end connection
The receiving channel has its own long and short directions. A mating-end view relates those axes to the capillary, and identifies the contact area around the opening. Outside fit alone does not describe the alignment of the inner rectangles.
Corner shape, centring and wall tolerances belong to the detailed section where they affect the interface. They should not be created by subtracting nominal outside and inside sizes or by measuring a rendered image.
A custom example: expose a broad face while supporting a narrow side
ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN EXAMPLE
Suppose the observation needs a broad face visible, but the available fixture space calls for support along the narrow side. The proposal can retain the required channel and define that installed orientation, the contact length and the exposed field. The custom task is the relationship between channel, viewing direction and fixture.
