Using this cell

Fill the cell from the open top and make sure the sample level covers the beam used by your instrument. Before measurement, check for bubbles on the optical faces and keep the same orientation for blank and sample if your method depends on repeatable positioning.

Because there is no supplied closure, plan your handling around an open sample chamber throughout filling and measurement. Handle the cuvette by the non-optical surfaces where possible, and inspect the chamber before each run if your routine requires very clean optical contact surfaces.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect the optical faces for cleanliness, rinse the cell with a suitable liquid for your procedure, and run a blank to verify that the filled sample level covers the beam position in your instrument. Also confirm that your holder secures the body correctly without relying on a cap or top support.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 3 × 12.5 × 45 mm dimensions apply to the body only. Use that body size when checking holder seating, clamp clearance and sample-compartment space.
