Choose this cell when your measurement layout needs optical access from multiple sides and a side-connected flow path in the same assembly. The 10 mm path and 4 mL nominal capacity make it a practical choice when you need a larger flowing sample region than a micro-volume cell, without moving to a much larger body section.

Using this cell

Support the cell by its main body during handling and installation. When you connect the tubing, avoid leaving the tube connections to carry the weight or pulling force of the attached line.

Fill the cell gradually and check the illuminated region for trapped bubbles before measurement. No pressure limit is listed for this item, so pressure and connection conditions should be reviewed for the full assembled flow system before use.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and both tube connections for chips, residue or transit damage.
Place the cell in position and confirm that the tubing run does not strain the side tubes.
Rinse with a suitable liquid, fill slowly, and verify that the optical region is free of bubbles and exterior droplets.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 13 × 13 × 45 mm dimensions describe the cell body itself. They do not include the full installed envelope with the projecting side tubes, attached tubing or bend radius, so leave enough lateral clearance when planning the holder area.

Four-Way Light describes the optical access pattern, but Z Height is not listed for this SKU. If your instrument or holder depends on a defined beam-center height, check that point before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly chosen for methods involving organic solvents and for applications that may involve temperature control. Suitability still depends on the complete assembly and on the actual liquid, concentration, temperature and contact time used in your process.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and clean the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
