Description

C204WS1 is a JGS1 quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 20 mm optical path and 2.6 mL nominal capacity. This version uses a Four-Way Light configuration together with two opposed fluid tubes, so it is the option to review when your method needs side optical access in addition to the main transmission path.

The cell body is compact at 22.5 × 12.5 × 24 mm. At the same time, the fixed cell height reaches 45 mm, so installation checks should allow for both the optical body and the space taken up by the projecting connection sections.

Using this cell

Mount and connect the cell by supporting the body rather than loading the projecting tubes. Fill slowly so liquid reaches the optical region evenly, then remove bubbles before recording a blank or background.

Keep the same orientation for blank and sample measurements. The nominal cell volume applies to the cell itself and does not include the extra volume in your external tubing. No pressure rating is specified, so review operating pressure for the complete connected system before use.

First-use check

Inspect all optical faces and the tube openings before installation.
Check that the holder supports the body securely without stressing the connections.
After filling, verify that the illuminated region is clear of bubbles, droplets and residue before measurement.

Fit and optical alignment

Check the holder opening, beam path and side clearance against the body dimensions, then confirm there is room for the full 45 mm fixed-cell height and both tube connections. Four-Way Light identifies the supported optical access category for this cell, but holder fit still depends on your actual beam geometry and mounting arrangement.

Z Height is not listed for this model. If your setup depends on a defined beam-center height, verify that separately before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly selected for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature control. Select the sample and cleaning routine for the complete assembled cell, including any fittings and tubing used in your system.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and clean the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
