C502CE3 is a JGS1 quartz large-window cuvette built around a standard 10 mm optical path in a larger 17.5 mL body. The open-top design gives direct access to the sample chamber for filling, rinsing and inspection, which is useful when you want a broader cell format rather than a narrower small-body cuvette. Using this cell

Fill the cuvette from the top, then place it so the beam passes through the two transmission faces along the 10 mm path. The open top makes it easier to add sample carefully, check for visible bubbles and rinse the chamber between runs.

The 17.5 mL figure is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses a partial fill or depends on a fixed beam position, check that the liquid level fully covers the beam in your own setup.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect the optical faces and edges for dust, fingerprints or transit damage. Test the empty cell in the holder first, then run a blank at your working wavelength to confirm orientation and baseline before introducing sample.
