Choose this option
Choose C202CR10 when your method calls for a 20 mm straight-through optical path and you want two matching cells for the same workflow. The rectangular body is easy to place in standard-style holders, and the open top keeps sample loading, rinsing and emptying simple in routine bench work.
What makes this option different
- 20 mm optical path for methods written around this longer path length.
- Two-Way Light configuration for transmission through the main opposing optical faces.
- Open-top cell body for direct access during filling and cleaning.
- PTFE closures included for covered handling after loading.
- 7 mL nominal capacity in a standard rectangular quartz cuvette body.
- Pack of two cuvettes as the sale unit for this listing.
Using this cell
Fill from the top opening and make sure the liquid level covers the beam used by your instrument. When using the pair for blank and sample or repeat work, keep both cuvettes in a consistent orientation and handle them by the non-optical faces to reduce marks in the light path.
The PTFE closure acts as a cover for the open top, but this page does not present the assembly as pressure-rated or leak-tested. The stated 7 mL is nominal capacity only, so do not treat it as a minimum working volume.
First-use check
Inspect both cuvettes for dust, fingerprints or visible marks on the optical faces before use. Test-fit the bare cells in your holder, rinse with a suitable liquid for your method, and confirm that your normal fill level covers the beam area without bubbles in the optical path.
Fit and optical alignment
The bare cell body dimensions are 12.5 × 22.5 × 45 mm. Use those dimensions to check holder fit and top clearance around the uncapped body, especially if your setup has limited space above the cuvette.
Z Height is not established for this SKU. If your instrument depends on a defined beam-center height, please confirm that separately before ordering rather than assuming alignment from the outer body dimensions.
Solvents and cleaning
Quartz is used here with a supplier statement covering acids, alkalis and organic liquids for the cell itself, but the practical limit depends on the exact chemical, concentration, temperature, exposure time and which components are in contact. PTFE closure material is specified, but that does not by itself define compatibility for every assembled routine.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue. For general process background, see https://machinedquartz.com/fabrication-method-of-cuvettes/.
Included with this option
Supplied as a pack of 2 cuvettes. PTFE closures are included.
