Handling and Care

• Before first use, dry the crucible in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Control the heating and cooling rate: below 1200 °C keep it under 5 °C/min, and above 1200 °C keep it under 4 °C/min.
• Keep the crucible more than 5 cm from heating elements such as carbon tubes, silicon-molybdenum rods or heating wires.
• Do not heat directly with a gasoline torch, acetylene torch or alcohol blowtorch.
