Applications

Suitable for muffle-furnace heating and for the analysis and melting of metallic and non-metallic laboratory samples, as well as general laboratory and industrial analysis work.

Handling and Care

• Before first use, dry the crucible in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Control heating and cooling rates: below 1200 °C keep the rate under 5 °C/min, and above 1200 °C keep it under 4 °C/min.
• Maintain a distance of more than 5 cm between the crucible and heating elements such as carbon tubes, silicon-molybdenum rods or heating wires.
• Do not apply direct flame heating from a gasoline torch, acetylene torch or alcohol blowlamp.
