Handling and Care

• Before first use, dry in an oven at about 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Do not heat with an open flame or with gasoline, acetylene or alcohol torches.
• Below 1200 °C, keep the heating rate under 5 °C per minute; above 1200 °C, keep the cooling rate under 4 °C per minute.
• Keep the crucible at least 5 cm away from heating elements.
