Handling and Care

• Before first use, dry in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Do not heat with an open flame, and do not use gasoline, acetylene or alcohol torches for direct heating.
• Keep the heating rate below 5 °C per minute at temperatures under 1200 °C, and the cooling rate below 4 °C per minute above 1200 °C.
• Maintain a distance of more than 5 cm between the crucible and heating elements.
