Handling and Care
- Before first use, bake the crucible in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
- Do not heat with an open flame, or with gasoline, acetylene or alcohol torches.
- Keep heating rates below 1200 °C under 5 °C per minute.
- Keep cooling rates above 1200 °C under 4 °C per minute; avoid heating or cooling too quickly.
- Maintain a distance of more than 5 cm between the crucible and the heating element.
