Handling and Care

• Before first use, bake the crucible in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Do not heat with an open flame or with gasoline, acetylene or alcohol torches.
• Keep heating and cooling rates gradual; below 1200 °C keep the heating rate under 5 °C/min, and above 1200 °C keep the cooling rate under 4 °C/min.
• Maintain a distance greater than 5 cm between the crucible and the heating element.
