Handling and Care

• Before first use, bake in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Do not heat with an open flame or use a gasoline torch, acetylene torch or alcohol burner for direct heating.
• Keep heating rates below 5 °C per minute up to 1200 °C.
• Keep cooling rates below 4 °C per minute above 1200 °C.
• Maintain a distance greater than 5 cm between the crucible and the heating element.
