Handling and Care

• Before first use, bake the crucible in an oven at approximately 105 °C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
• Do not heat with an open flame or with a gasoline, acetylene or alcohol torch.
• Keep heating and cooling rates slow; below 1200 °C limit the heating rate to under 5 °C per minute, and above 1200 °C limit the cooling rate to under 4 °C per minute.
• Maintain a distance of more than 5 cm between the crucible and the heating element.
