Structure and dimensions

Using this cell

Fill from the open top and use the accompanying closure as supplied. Keep the orientation the same between blank and sample measurements so the same optical faces and optical directions are used each time.

Make sure the sample level covers the active beam region, then remove bubbles and wipe away exterior droplets before measurement. The 700 µL figure is the nominal cell capacity, not a stated minimum working volume.

First-use check

Inspect the quartz faces, top opening and closure-contact area before first use.
Rinse with a suitable neutral blank and confirm stable seating in the holder.
Run a blank in the same orientation you will use for the sample.

Check the holder opening, seating depth and instrument beam position before ordering, especially if you are replacing a cell in a fixed mount. Z Height is not established for this SKU, so fit should be checked against your current cell or holder drawing rather than assumed from the 2 mm path alone.

Where the holder has limited clearance or a fixed beam center, reviewing the existing cell reference or holder dimensions is the safest approach.

Solvents and cleaning

Use this version with neutral solutions, in line with the supplier restriction for this SKU. If your method involves organic solvents, aggressive reagents, heated samples or extended soaking, choose a different cell selected for those conditions rather than this listed option.

Keep hydrofluoric acid away from quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods. Clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue and a suitable mild cleaner for the permitted sample conditions.
