C102CE17 is a quartz micro cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path and a 1.4 mL nominal capacity. Using this cell

Fill the cuvette so the beam passes fully through the filled sample region. Before each run, check for bubbles, droplets or residue in the illuminated section, and keep the same orientation for blanks, standards and samples if your procedure depends on repeatable positioning.

The 1.4 mL figure is a nominal capacity only. It is not a minimum working volume, so lower-fill methods should be checked in the actual holder to make sure the beam remains fully covered.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces before first use, rinse the cell with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method, and place it in the holder to confirm square seating and sufficient top clearance. Then run a trial fill and confirm that the measurement zone is fully covered without trapped bubbles.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm dimensions apply to the uncapped quartz body. That helps you check holder fit and compartment space for the body itself, but not the extra height or clearance needed for the closure.

Solvents and cleaning

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
