Using this cell

Fill the cuvette from the open top and make sure the liquid level covers the beam path used by your instrument. Keep the optical faces free from bubbles, droplets, fingerprints and dried residue, especially before measurement sequences that rely on stable transmission through the two optical faces.

The 5 mL figure is the nominal chamber capacity. It should not be treated as a minimum working volume, so if you plan to run partial fills, check that the beam area remains covered in your own setup.
