Structure and dimensions
Using this cell
Fill from the top and make sure the liquid level fully covers the illuminated region used by your instrument. For fluorescence work, align the cell so the active windows match the excitation and collection directions of your holder or optical bench.
Keep bubbles, foam and droplets away from the optical faces before measurement. If you use a blank and sample, keep the same orientation and fill condition for both so the optical path and window presentation remain consistent.

- Test the fit in your holder and confirm that the beam passes through the intended window area.
- Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method and remove any bubbles before the first measurement.

Solvents and cleaning
This selected ordinary cell is restricted to neutral samples. If your sample, rinse or cleaning procedure involves non-neutral chemistry, please check the exact liquids and conditions with us before ordering a suitable alternative.
Keep hydrofluoric acid away from quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods. Clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive laboratory tissue or another suitable soft cleaning material.
