C202TR is a JGS1 quartz screw-top cuvette built around a 20 mm optical path for UV/Vis measurements. This version combines a 7 mL nominal capacity, Two-Way Light layout and a single threaded neck with an included PTFE screw cap, giving you a covered transmission cell with direct top access for routine filling and handling.

It is a practical choice when you want a longer-than-standard path in a relatively slim rectangular body instead of a wider large-volume format. The included PTFE cap is useful when your workflow calls for a covered sample chamber during preparation and measurement.

Using this cell

Fill through the threaded top opening so the liquid covers the beam during measurement, then seat the PTFE cap after filling. Keep the optical faces free of droplets, fingerprints and bubbles, and use the same orientation for blank and sample runs where method consistency matters.

The 7 mL figure is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a minimum working volume. If you plan to run at reduced fill levels, check that the sample still covers the illuminated region in your instrument.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, thread area and cap for residue or handling marks.
Rinse with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method and the full assembly.
Run a blank and confirm that the filled sample covers the beam without bubbles.

Fit and optical alignment

The bare optical body is 22.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm, with a 22.5 × 12.5 mm base. These dimensions are useful for checking holder width, depth and body support, but they do not include the full neck and closure envelope.

Z Height is not established for this SKU. If your instrument has a fixed beam height or tight vertical clearance, confirm beam position and holder fit before ordering rather than relying on body size or path length alone.

Solvents and cleaning

Quartz is used here for UV/Vis transmission, but specific chemical, concentration, temperature and contact-time limits are not established for this full assembly. If your sample or cleaning routine is chemically demanding, check suitability before use.
