Using this cell

Fill the cell so the illuminated sample region is fully covered and free of bubbles, then place the closure gently after filling. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs, and make sure the outside optical faces are clean and dry before measurement.

The 1.75 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses a low fill level, check beam coverage in your own holder and instrument rather than relying on nominal volume alone.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, rim and bonded areas for dust or transit damage.
Test fit the empty cell in your holder and confirm stable seating.
Run a suitable blank first and check that the beam passes cleanly through the filled sample region.
Seat the closure gently and confirm that your normal handling does not disturb the sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated body dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm for the uncapped cell. Use those values to check holder seating and side clearance, then allow additional top space for the fitted closure in your setup.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the exterior optical faces with non-abrasive optical tissue. Also check the suitability of the closure and any other wetted parts for your full assembly.
