Using this cell

Fill the cuvette so the illuminated sample region stays fully covered during measurement, and check for bubbles before placing it in the instrument. Use a consistent orientation for blank and sample runs so the beam crosses the same faces each time.

The 700 µL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. If you plan to work below full nominal fill, verify that the liquid level still covers the beam path in your actual holder setup.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect the quartz faces for chips, residue or handling marks and confirm that the lid seats properly. Then place the cuvette in your holder with a blank or solvent to confirm seating, beam access and practical top clearance.

Fit and optical alignment

The uncapped cell body measures 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. Those dimensions are useful for checking holder fit and external clearance for the body, but they do not define the full installed height with the lid in place.

Z Height is not specified for this model. If your instrument has a fixed beam centre, check alignment to the sample region before purchase or routine use.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Standard 80 fabrication with an adhesive-bonded quartz body. It is suited to routine water-based samples and buffers at room temperature. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents with this construction, and check the PTFE lid as part of the full wetted assembly used in your method.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. After use, rinse promptly and clean the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
