Using this cell

Fill the cell so the illuminated region is fully covered during measurement, and keep bubbles out of the beam area. The 350 µL figure is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume, so the practical fill level depends on your beam position and how your method is set up.

Use a consistent orientation for blank and sample measurements. Before placing the cell in the holder, keep the optical faces free of fingerprints, droplets and dried residue across the light path.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces on arrival, rinse with a cleaning liquid that suits your method, and test-fit the empty cell in your holder. A blank run is a practical first check for seating, beam coverage and clean optical surfaces before you add sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The uncapped cell dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. These dimensions describe the bare cell body, so if you plan to keep the supplied lid in place during handling or measurement, check the top clearance in your holder separately.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. It is suited to routine water-based samples and buffers at room temperature. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents with this construction.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue or other suitable optical-surface wipes.
