(C102SS38) Quartz Micro Cuvette, 10 mm Path, 1.4 mL
Description
C102SS38 is a JGS1 quartz micro cuvette for UV/Vis measurements that pairs a 10 mm optical path with a 4 mm sample-region slit. Its 1.4 mL nominal capacity and included closure make it a useful choice when you need a stoppered micro cuvette with a defined narrow sample region rather than a general full-width cell. This model is intended for neutral solutions only.

Choose this option
Choose C102SS38 when your method uses a 10 mm path length and you want a micro cuvette with a 4 mm slit in the sample region. The stoppered top suits direct filling and routine handling, while the nominal capacity gives you a practical reference for sample preparation. It is a straightforward option for through-beam UV/Vis work where the illuminated region and microcell format both matter.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path for standard UV/Vis measurement geometry.
- 4 mm sample-region slit for methods that use this narrower illuminated region.
- 1.4 mL nominal capacity in a micro cuvette body.
- Two-Way Light layout for straight-through measurement.
- Closure included and restricted to neutral solutions.
Using this cell
Fill the cuvette so the measurement region is fully covered, then inspect the optical faces for bubbles, droplets or residue before placing it in the holder. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample measurements so the beam always passes through the same region.
Seat the closure gently after filling. If your procedure involves moving or inverting the filled cuvette outside a normal upright measurement position, verify the closure performance in your own conditions before routine use.
First-use check
- Inspect the quartz body, optical faces and closure seating area for chips or contamination.
- Place the cuvette in your holder and confirm that the beam aligns with the intended sample region.
- Run a blank using the same orientation and filling approach you will use for samples.
Fit and optical alignment
The 4 mm value refers to the sample-region slit and is useful when you are checking beam coverage. It is not a complete holder-fit dimension and should not be treated as a certified clear aperture.
Z Height and full external dimensions are not established for this SKU. If your instrument depends on a specific beam-center height or tight compartment clearance, please check those points before ordering.
Solvents and cleaning
This cuvette is for neutral solutions only. Keep that restriction in mind for both sample contact and cleaning liquids.
For broader background on cuvette construction, see cuvette fabrication methods. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.
