(C102SS41) Quartz Micro Cuvette, 10 mm Path, 700 µL
Original price was: $86.00.$78.00Current price is: $78.00.
C102SS41 is a quartz micro cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path, a 700 µL nominal capacity and a 2 mm sample slit in a Two-Way Light layout. The included closure gives you a covered micro-volume format for routine filling and measurement. Sold as 1 cuvette per listed price unit.
Description
C102SS41 is a quartz micro cuvette for UV/Vis work that keeps the familiar 10 mm optical path in a smaller, stoppered format. This version combines a 700 µL nominal capacity with a narrow 2 mm sample slit and a Two-Way Light layout, which is useful when your method needs a defined measurement region rather than a wider sample channel.

Choose this option
Choose C102SS41 when you need a 10 mm path length in a micro cuvette and want a narrow 2 mm slit to define the illuminated sample region. The covered format helps with ordinary sample handling between filling, blanking and measurement, while the 700 µL nominal capacity gives a practical guide to chamber size without moving up to a larger cell.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path for UV/Vis methods built around this standard path length.
- 2 mm sample slit for a narrow defined sample region that should be matched to your beam footprint.
- 700 µL nominal capacity in a micro-volume cuvette format.
- Two-Way Light, stoppered format with the closure included for covered handling.
Using this cell
Fill the cuvette so the beam passes fully through liquid across the intended sample region. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample measurements, and check that no bubbles, droplets or residue remain in the light path before placing the cell in the holder.
Seat the closure gently after filling. The closure is useful for covered routine handling, but this page does not establish a pressure-rated or leak-tested seal for transport, inversion or closed-circuit use.
First-use check
- Rinse the cell with a method-appropriate liquid before first use.
- Inspect the optical faces and sample region for dust, residue or handling marks.
- Run a blank in the same orientation you will use for samples.
- Confirm that the filled liquid fully covers the beam path in your instrument.
Fit and optical alignment
The key fit point is not only whether the cuvette enters the holder, but whether your beam crosses the 2 mm slit region as intended. In micro cuvettes, beam height and footprint matter as much as path length, especially when the illuminated region is narrow.
Z Height is not listed for this item, so instrument matching should not be assumed from the 10 mm path alone. If your holder has limited clearance or your method depends on a specific beam-center height, please send the holder model or a drawing before ordering.
Solvents and cleaning
Choose sample and cleaning liquids with the complete assembled cell in mind. The chemical limits of this exact cuvette and closure combination are not fully specified here, so aggressive reagents, organic cleaning steps, elevated temperature and long contact times should be checked before routine use.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Wipe the outer optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue. For general fabrication background, see Compare fabrication options.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.

For a required delivery date, contact us before checkout; preparation or production is separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.
Discuss a custom version
We can review custom JGS1 quartz versions for changes involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows, Z Height, closures or tolerances. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch and identify the dimensions and tolerances that matter to your method. Discuss your requirements and quote part number C102SS41.
