C104TE15 is a quartz screw-top cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path, Four-Way Light geometry and a 3.5 mL nominal capacity. It gives you a covered screw-cap format instead of an open-top cell, while keeping a square 12.5 × 12.5 mm body that is easy to review against common holder layouts.

Using this cell

Fill the cuvette so the liquid level fully covers the beam path used in your instrument, then apply the cap if your procedure calls for a covered cell during handling or measurement. Remove visible bubbles from the optical region and keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs when consistent positioning matters.

The 3.5 mL figure is the nominal capacity of the cuvette, not a minimum working volume. Handle the cell by the non-optical surfaces where possible to keep the light path clean.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and threaded opening for dust, residue or handling marks.
Rinse with a liquid suitable for your method and the full assembled cell.
Run a blank in the same orientation planned for sample measurement.
Confirm that the filled sample covers the beam area in your instrument.

Fit and optical alignment

The cuvette body has a 12.5 × 12.5 mm base and a 35 mm optical body height. These dimensions are the useful starting point when checking holder fit and support at the measurement section.

The uncapped height is 55 mm from the base to the top of the neck. Z Height is not established for this SKU, so if your instrument or holder depends on a defined bottom-to-beam-center position, that requirement should be checked before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Molded 83 fabrication. This fabrication type is commonly selected for quartz cells used in methods that may involve organic solvents or temperature-related work, but the right choice still depends on your actual sample, cleaning liquid and the complete assembled cell.

Chemical limits for this selected assembly are not established here by concentration, temperature or contact time. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
