C024WS2 is a quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 2 mm optical path, 700 µL nominal capacity and Four-Way Light geometry. It combines side optical access with two opposed fluid tubes, so you can plan the light path and the liquid path as one assembly. This is a practical choice when your method uses a short transmission path and a fixed straight-through connection format.

Using this cell

Install the cell with tubing that matches the stated tube dimensions and support the line so the tube ends are not pushed sideways during use. Fill gradually and inspect the optical region before measurement, especially if your method is sensitive to visible bubbles in the light path.

The two tubes provide the available fluid connections, but they are not assigned here as inlet or outlet. The 700 µL figure is the nominal cell volume only, not the total liquid volume of the connected tubing circuit and not a minimum working volume.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and tube ends for chips, residue or blockage before installation.
Mount the cell in the intended position and verify beam alignment with a suitable blank.
After filling, remove visible bubbles and exterior droplets before running blank and sample measurements.

Fit and optical alignment

The connection format matters for both clearance and routing. Leave room for tube approach, any added fittings and the bend radius of your tubing after the cell is mounted.

External body dimensions and Z Height are not established here. If your holder or instrument depends on a defined beam-center height or a tight fit envelope, check those points before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly selected for methods involving organic solvents and for applications where temperature control may be part of the setup. Choose sample and cleaning conditions for the full wetted assembly, including connected tubing and fittings, not only for the quartz body.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials. Wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue or similar lab wipes.
