Using this cell

Connect the cell into a suitable flow path and fill gradually so liquid wets the sample region evenly before measurement. Check the optical zone for trapped bubbles and exterior droplets, then run the blank only after the flow path is fully filled and stable.

The nominal 3.5 mL value refers to the cell itself. Your total liquid hold-up in use will be higher once tubing, fittings and any other flow components are included.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, tube ends and body for chips, residue or handling damage.
Test the mechanical fit and line clearance before introducing sample.
Fill slowly with a suitable clean liquid and confirm that the illuminated region is free of bubbles.
Check the connected setup for leaks and repeat the blank under final operating conditions.

Solvents and cleaning

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
