C024WS4 is a quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy that combines a 2 mm optical path with Four-Way Light geometry and a 700 µL nominal cell volume. Its compact optical body is paired with two fixed tube connections sized 5 mm OD / 3 mm ID, so this option is especially useful when the liquid line and the optical section need to be planned together. Choose this option

Choose C024WS4 when your method uses a 2 mm flow-through path and your setup is already arranged around 5 mm OD / 3 mm ID tube connections. The optical path and nominal volume stay compact, but the larger fixed tubes affect tubing choice, bend clearance and the space needed around the installed cell.

Using this cell

Connect the cell into a suitable liquid line using the two fixed opposed tubes. Fill gradually and check the illuminated region before measurement so bubbles, residue or partial wetting do not remain in the optical path.

For repeatable UV/Vis readings, blank the system after the cell and connected line section have fully filled. The stated 700 µL nominal capacity applies to the cell itself rather than the total volume of your tubing circuit.

First-use check

Inspect the quartz body and both fixed tube ends for visible damage or contamination.
Confirm that your tubing and support hardware suit the 5 mm OD / 3 mm ID connection size.
Rinse with a suitable liquid, fill slowly, and check that the optical area is free of bubbles before measurement.

Fit and optical alignment

The optical body dimensions are 38 × 4.5 × 12.5 mm, while the complete fixed-tube span shown for this configuration is 76 mm. Use the body dimensions to check how the cell seats in a holder, and allow additional space for the projecting tube ends and the bend radius of connected tubing.

Z Height is not specified for this SKU. If your instrument uses a fixed beam position or a close-fitting mount, verify beam height and support points directly instead of assuming fit from the outer body dimensions alone.

Solvents and cleaning

This cell is made from JGS1 quartz with Molded 83 fabrication. For flow work, choose sample and cleaning liquids with the complete wetted assembly in mind, including any tubing, fittings or seals used elsewhere in your system.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Wipe exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue and use a cleaning routine suitable for the full connected flow path.
