C102CR27 is a JGS1 quartz colorimetric cuvette with a 10 mm optical path, an open-top chamber and a 14.5 mL nominal capacity. It suits straight-through UV/Vis and colorimetric work when you want direct filling from above and a simple rectangular body without side ports or cover plates. Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top and keep the sample level high enough to cover the beam during measurement. Remove bubbles before reading, and keep the same orientation for blank and sample if your method depends on comparative measurements.

Handle the cuvette by non-optical surfaces where possible, and dry the outer transmission faces after rinsing. This helps keep the optical path clear when the cell is placed in the holder.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and chamber for chips, dust or residue.
Run a suitable blank to confirm holder fit and beam alignment before sample measurements.
Confirm that your usual fill level covers the beam in your own setup.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated external dimensions are 50 × 14 × 50 mm with a 50 × 14 mm base. Check your holder slot, seating area, insertion depth and top clearance against that body size before ordering.

Z Height needs to be confirmed for this option, so beam-height-sensitive instruments should be checked against your current cell or holder drawing rather than assumed from the overall body size alone. The 14.5 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses a fused integrated quartz construction in the source description. For quartz handling, keep hydrofluoric acid away from the cell, and avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials.

If your process includes aggressive chemicals, elevated temperature or long contact times, please check chemical suitability for the complete assembly before use. Clean the optical faces gently with a non-abrasive method suited to quartz laboratory cells.
