Capable of holding 64 ml of sample solution, the C404CR3 features a 40 mm path length optimized for quantitative spectroscopy. Constructed with Sintered 83 — sintered from high-purity quartz with >83% transmittance, ensuring minimal background absorption across the full UV-Vis-NIR range. The cell provides all four vertical faces polished to optical grade, enabling both standard absorbance and 90° fluorescence detection. Why Four-Way Light?

Four-way light cuvettes have all four vertical faces polished to optical grade, enabling both standard absorbance measurements and 90° fluorescence detection geometry. The excitation beam enters through one face while emission is collected at right angles through an adjacent face — the standard configuration required by fluorimeters and spectrofluorometers.

Why Sintered 83?

Sintered 83 cuvettes are fabricated by sintering high-purity quartz at extreme temperatures, achieving >83% transmittance with exceptional optical clarity. The sintering process creates a robust, chemically resistant structure that withstands repeated exposure to aggressive solvents, concentrated acids, and bases (avoid HF).

Usage Tips
Rinse with a compatible solvent (e.g., ethanol or the measurement solvent) before first use to remove residual particles. Do not use abrasive materials on polished optical faces — wipe gently with lens tissue. Withstands all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases. Avoid HF (hydrofluoric acid). Store in the original protective case to prevent scratches on the optical windows.
