Its square 12.5 × 12.5 mm cell body is paired with a long tube neck, so this option is useful when you want a familiar rectangular measurement section but need more reach above the holder for filling access or line routing.

Choose C104SS6 when the cell body itself can remain compact, but the upper section needs extra length. The 135 mm overall height and 45 mm body height separate the optical section from the top access area, and the 8 mm OD / 6 mm ID tube neck gives you a defined size for sleeves, guides or transfer tubing around the opening.

Using this cell

Fill and empty the cell through the tube neck. During use, make sure the liquid level covers the beam path and check that no bubbles remain in the optical region before measurement.

The 3.5 mL figure is the nominal cell capacity. It should not be treated as a minimum working volume, so low-fill methods should be checked in your own setup before routine use.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and neck opening for chips, residue or handling marks.
Place the empty cell in the holder and confirm clearance for the full upper neck length.
Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method, then run a blank to confirm beam coverage and orientation.

Fit and optical alignment

The seated cell base is 12.5 × 12.5 mm, while the complete height reaches 135 mm. That combination can help when you need clearance above the holder, but it also means you should check overhead space around lids, clamps, shielding and any nearby tubing.

Z Height is not specified for this SKU. If your instrument depends on a defined beam-center height, confirm that requirement separately rather than assuming fit from the external body shape and 10 mm path alone.

Solvents and cleaning

This cell uses Molded 83 construction. This fabrication is commonly chosen where organic-solvent methods or temperature-related applications are part of the selection, but suitability still depends on your actual liquid, concentration, temperature, contact time and the complete assembled cell.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
