Description

The C104SS6 is a 10mm-path-length quartz long-neck cuvette with 4 polished optical faces (Four-Way Light) and an internal volume of 3.5 ml. Exterior dimensions measure 12.5 × 12.5 × 135 mm, with an interior chamber of 10 × 10 × 40 mm. At 135 mm, this extra-long-neck cuvette provides maximum clearance for deep sample compartments, immersion probes, or custom stirring and temperature-control accessories. Despite its extended height, the optical chamber maintains a standard 10 mm square cross-section for universal instrument compatibility. Built with Molded 83 fabrication (monolithic fused-quartz construction — no adhesive joints), the C104SS6 delivers optical transmittance of >83% across a wavelength range of 190–2500 nm.

Why Four-Way Light Transmission?

Four polished optical faces allow excitation light to enter from one side while the detector captures emission at 90° — the standard geometry for fluorescence spectroscopy. The additional polished faces also support multi-angle absorbance measurements, Raman spectroscopy, and any technique that benefits from full optical access around the sample chamber.

The C104SS6 is manufactured using Molded 83 fabrication — a process that produces a monolithic, seamless quartz body with no adhesive joints. This one-piece construction eliminates the risk of solvent attack on bonded seams, making it fully compatible with concentrated acids, strong bases, and virtually all organic solvents (excluding HF). • Handle by the frosted or upper walls — avoid touching polished optical faces.
• This cuvette is withstands all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases. Avoid HF (hydrofluoric acid).
• After use, rinse immediately and allow to air-dry inverted on lint-free tissue.
• Store in the original packaging to prevent scratches on optical surfaces.
