Using this cell
Fill the cuvette so the illuminated region is fully covered, then place the PTFE lid for normal covered handling. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample readings, and make sure no bubbles or droplets remain in the optical region.
The 700 µL nominal capacity describes the cell volume, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses small fills or your instrument beam sits at a fixed height, set the fill level according to the actual beam position in your holder.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces, sample chamber and lid seating area for residue or shipping damage.
- Run a suitable blank in the same orientation you plan to use for the sample.
- Confirm that the filled sample covers the beam area cleanly and without bubbles.
Fit and optical alignment
This is a micro cuvette with a 2 mm sample-region width, so beam placement matters more than with a wider optical region. It is a good idea to review your holder and beam footprint before routine use, especially if the instrument uses a tightly defined beam path.

Solvents and cleaning
This Standard 80 adhesive-bonded glass option is intended for routine water-based samples and buffers at room temperature. For this construction, do not soak or rinse with ethanol, and do not use acids, alkalis or organic solvents.
Use a gentle cleaning routine within those limits, and avoid abrasive cleaning on the optical surfaces.
