Using this cell

Fill the sample from the top and make sure the liquid level covers the beam during measurement. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs, especially if your holder allows the cell to be inserted in more than one direction.

Handle the cell by non-optical surfaces where possible and remove visible bubbles before measurement. The 5 mL value is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a stated minimum working volume.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces for residue or handling marks before first use. Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method, place the empty cell in the holder to confirm seating and clearance, and run a blank to confirm orientation and beam coverage before introducing sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The listed 12 × 22 × 36 mm dimensions refer to the cell body only. Check the holder opening and side clearance before ordering, particularly if your instrument expects a standard cuvette footprint rather than this compact rectangular format.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with glass. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue or another suitable soft material.
