Description

MQQMC035 is the 5 mm-path option in this four-face JGS1 quartz micro-cuvette series. Its 5 × 5 mm internal cross-section and 875 µL nominal capacity sit within a 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm body. Direct top access makes it straightforward to fill, inspect and rinse the chamber.

Choose this option

Choose the 5 mm version when your method uses this path and the intermediate 5 × 5 mm internal section. Its 875 µL nominal capacity lies between the 560 µL / 4 mm and 1.2 mL / 6 mm versions, with the same outer body dimensions.

What makes this option different

  • 5 mm optical path: select this version for the measurement path specified by your method.
  • 5 × 5 mm internal cross-section: this describes the sample region across the chamber; compare it with the beam footprint separately from the external holder dimensions.
  • Four optical faces: opposing faces provide transmission access, while adjacent faces can support a suitable fluorescence excitation and collection arrangement.
  • 875 µL nominal capacity: plan the working fill around complete coverage of the illuminated region, keeping blank and sample at a consistent fill condition.
  • Open top: load directly with a pipette and inspect for bubbles before positioning the cell in the holder.

Using this cell

Introduce the sample through the open top and inspect the 5 × 5 mm sample region for bubbles or residue. Keep the same seating and orientation for blank and sample. For fluorescence, align the excitation and collection directions with the appropriate adjacent optical faces and verify the arrangement with a suitable blank.

Nominal capacity is not a minimum working-volume specification. Establish a fill that fully covers the beam at the actual measurement position, then use the same procedure for the blank and sample.

First-use check

  1. Inspect the rim, body and optical faces for damage, dust or residue.
  2. Seat the cell in the holder and check beam access with a suitable blank.
  3. Confirm full beam coverage, clear bubbles and repeatable positioning before measuring the sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The 12.5 × 12.5 mm outer footprint and 45 mm body height determine holder clearance. The 5 × 5 mm internal cross-section is a separate check for the beam footprint and illuminated sample region. Leave room above the open top for filling without contacting the optical walls.

Z Height is not specified for this option. Check beam-centre alignment in the actual holder before selecting the working fill.

Solvents and cleaning

This series uses fused-integrated JGS1 quartz construction. Select sample and cleaning conditions for the complete cell and your actual chemical, concentration, temperature and contact time. For construction choices, see the fabrication guide. Contact us to review conditions that are critical to your method.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis, abrasive cleaning and sudden temperature changes. Rinse away sample residue and clean exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.

Included with this option

One MQQMC035 JGS1 quartz micro cuvette. The price is per cell.

Availability and ordering

Contact us to confirm current availability and dispatch timing for your quantity. For a required delivery date, check timing before checkout; preparation and production are separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.

Discuss a custom version

For a different path, sample region, optical layout, body geometry or closure, send a drawing or labelled sketch, holder and beam details, sample conditions and required quantity. Material, construction, feasibility and any prototype batch are confirmed for the quoted project. Contact us and include MQQMC035.
