Description

C0.12WS is a JGS1 quartz counting flow cell built for flow measurements with a very short 0.1 mm optical path. It combines an 8 µL nominal cell volume with a compact 30 × 15 × 4 mm body and two opposed tube openings, which helps when you need a small optical cell body in a tightly arranged flow path. The quartz optical body supports UV to near-IR work within the stated 200–2500 nm range.

The two end connections support in-line sample routing through the cell, while the small body size helps when holder space is limited and you want the tubing to approach from opposite sides.

Using this cell

Mount the cell by supporting the body, not by loading the tube connections. After connecting your tubing, fill the cell gradually and watch the optical region for trapped bubbles before taking measurements.

The 8 µL figure is the nominal volume of the cell itself. It does not include connected tubing or the rest of the flow circuit, so plan your assembled system volume separately if that affects your method.

This is a Two-Way Light cell. Keep the optical faces clean, keep the cell orientation consistent between blank and sample runs, and confirm stable flow through the assembled setup before collecting data.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and tube openings for dust, residue or shipping damage.
Test the body fit in the holder and check tubing clearance before filling the cell.
Run a suitable blank, remove any visible bubbles and confirm repeatable positioning in the optical path.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 30 × 15 × 4 mm size describes the cell body only. Leave additional space for the projecting tubes, tubing bend radius, and hand access during installation and removal.

Z Height is not stated for this item. If your holder or instrument uses a fixed beam position, check the seated beam alignment in your fixture before ordering rather than relying on body size alone.

Solvents and cleaning

Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz is generally selected for routine room-temperature aqueous samples and buffers. Avoid organic samples and organic cleaning solvents with this bonded construction. If your method involves organic solvents or heated treatment, ask about a more suitable Sintered or Molded alternative.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaners, and clean the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
