Quartz 0.5mm, Two-Way Light, Flow Cuvette, 150 ul, Molded 83, C0.52WS1
Description
The C0.52WS1 is a quartz flow cuvette with 0.5 mm path length and two-way light windows (two polished optical faces for standard UV-Vis absorbance geometry), holding 150 ul of sample. The cell measures 3.0 × 12.5 × 45 mm externally. Inlet and outlet ports enable continuous sample flow for real-time monitoring applications. Fabricated using Molded 83 technique with monolithic fused-quartz construction — no adhesive joints, delivering >83% transmittance across the 190-2500 nm range. The quartz body is withstands all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases. Avoid HF (hydrofluoric acid).

Applications
Why Two-Way Light Windows?
The two-way configuration provides two optically polished opposing faces for standard transmission-mode spectroscopy (UV-Vis, NIR). The remaining two walls are frosted (ground) to suppress internal reflections and stray light, improving baseline stability and measurement reproducibility. This is the most common geometry for absorbance-based flow analysis — compatible with virtually every single-beam and double-beam spectrophotometer on the market.
Why a Flow Cell?
Flow cells enable continuous, real-time spectroscopic monitoring without manual sample handling. By connecting a flow cell to a pump or gravity-feed system, you can monitor concentration changes, reaction kinetics, or process streams in real time without removing the cell from the instrument. This eliminates human error, reduces sample exposure to air, and enables automated data collection over extended periods.
Why Molded 83 Fabrication?
The Molded 83 fabrication creates a monolithic fused-quartz cell from a single block — no adhesive joints, no bonding layers. This delivers >83% transmittance and complete resistance to all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases (avoid HF). The seamless construction eliminates leakage risks and withstands repeated thermal cycling, making Molded 83 the premium choice for demanding flow applications.
