Description

C102WS6 is a compact JGS1 quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path and 32 µL nominal capacity. Its 8.5 mm Z Height gives you a defined beam-center reference, while the 12.5 × 12.5 × 35 mm body keeps the cell itself small at the sample position. Two tube connections rise from the top of the body for vertical tubing access.

Choose this option

Choose C102WS6 when you need a small flow-cell body with a standard 10 mm path and a known 8.5 mm bottom-to-beam-center dimension. It is a practical option for compact holders or semi-automatic biochemistry setups where the cell volume, beam position and top-entry tubing all need to work within limited space.

What makes this option different

  • 10 mm optical path in a flow-cell format for UV/Vis measurements.
  • 32 µL nominal capacity for a small cell volume within the optical section.
  • 8.5 mm Z Height for checking beam position against your holder or instrument geometry.
  • 12.5 × 12.5 × 35 mm body-only size with two top tube connections above the cell body.

Using this cell

Connect your tubing to the two top tubes and fill the cell gradually so the illuminated region wets evenly. Before measurement, inspect the optical area for trapped bubbles, droplets or residue, then establish your blank after the flow path has stabilized.

The 32 µL figure is the nominal cell volume, not the minimum working volume of the complete liquid circuit. Tubing, fittings and other dead volume in the system remain separate from the cell body and should be considered in your setup.

No pressure rating is stated for this model. Review your operating pressure and connection method before using the cell in a pressurized system.

First-use check

  1. Inspect the body and top tube connections for visible damage before use.
  2. Test the fit in the holder with enough clearance for the projecting tubes and tubing route.
  3. Flush with a suitable liquid for your method and confirm the optical region is free of bubbles before measurement.

Fit and optical alignment

The listed 12.5 × 12.5 × 35 mm dimensions apply to the black cell body only. They do not include the projecting top tubes, so the installed height and tubing bend space will be larger than the body itself.

The key alignment dimension here is the 8.5 mm Z Height. Compare that bottom-to-beam-center value with the reference used by your instrument or holder, especially if the compartment has limited clearance above the sample position.

Solvents and cleaning

This cell uses Molded 83 fabrication. This construction is commonly selected for methods involving organic solvents or temperature-controlled work, but the practical suitability still depends on the complete wetted assembly and your actual liquid conditions.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Clean and dry the optical faces gently with non-abrasive laboratory tissue or other non-scratching materials.
