Using this cell

Fill from the top so the illuminated sample region is completely covered, and remove visible bubbles before measurement. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs if your method depends on the stated path direction.

The 700 µL figure is nominal capacity, not a stated minimum working volume. If you plan to work below nominal fill, check that the liquid level still covers the beam position used by your instrument.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, opening and lid seating surfaces before use.
Rinse with a sample-compatible neutral liquid.
Place the cell in the holder and confirm stable seating and beam coverage.
Run a blank before introducing routine samples.

Fit and optical alignment

The uncapped body measures 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm, which is useful for holder seating and top-clearance planning. Because these dimensions exclude lid height, allow additional space above the cell when the lid is fitted.

Solvents and cleaning

A complete solvent compatibility list is not established here, so do not treat it as a general-purpose cell for aggressive chemistry. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
