Quartz 10mm Fluorescence Screw-Cap Cuvette, 3.5 ml, Sintered 83, Four-Way Light, Screw Cap, Pack of Two, C104TR1
USD$379.00 USD$342.00
Quartz 10 mm four-way fluorescence cuvette with screw cap, 3.5 ml, Sintered 83 (>83% transmittance). PTFE-lined screw cap for drip-proof sealing. Pack of Two. 190–2500 nm. SKU: C104TR1.
Description
The C104TR1 is a quartz fluorescence cuvette with 10 mm path length, four-way light optical windows, and an internal screw-thread neck for secure PTFE-lined screw cap closure. The screw cap threads directly into the cuvette neck for one-handed operation — fill, cap, and load in seconds without risk of the cap popping off during handling or inversion. Four polished quartz faces provide the standard 90° fluorescence geometry with >83% transmittance. The standard 3.5 ml internal volume (10 × 10 × 43 mm chamber) is compatible with most commercial fluorimeters. Fabricated using Sintered 83 — quartz panels fused at ~600 °C with no adhesive joints. Supplied as a matched pair (Pack of Two).

Fluorescence Applications
Why Screw Cap?
The internal screw-thread neck accepts a PTFE-lined cap that threads on in a single twist, providing a drip-proof, chemical-resistant seal. Unlike friction-fit PTFE caps or ground-glass stoppers, the screw cap cannot pop off during inversion or transport — making it ideal for high-throughput labs that fill, mix, and load cuvettes rapidly. The PTFE liner is chemically inert and prevents cross-contamination between samples.
Why Sintered 83 Construction?
Sintered 83 cuvettes are assembled by fusing quartz panels at approximately 600 °C, creating strong, adhesive-free joints. With >83% transmittance across 190–2500 nm, Sintered 83 delivers excellent optical clarity. For fluorescence work, the absence of adhesive is critical — optical cements can auto-fluoresce under UV excitation, adding unwanted background signal. The fused joints are compatible with strong acids, bases, and most organic solvents (excluding HF and aggressive organics such as toluene and acetone).
